A prison inmate appeared in court here yesterday where he pleaded guilty to possession of 9.4 grammes of cannabis.
Akeem Carlisle Bentham, 22, a prisoner at HMP Dodds, was held by prison officers after a search was carried out at the prisons on Wednesday.
Bentham appeared at the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he was sentenced to 15 months in jail, to run consecutively to his current four year prison term, which began in May 2012.
