A 36-year-old Guyanese man has been remanded to prison after appearing in court on four drug-related charges.
Troy Anthony Erskine is facing the charges of possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation after lawmen reportedly found eight hidden packages of the drug on him, weighing four and a half kilograms.
Police say Erskine, a crewmember on an oil tanker berthed off the Southern Coast of Barbados, was intercepted at Oistins, Christ Church yesterday by members of the Drug Squad.
The accused appeared at the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded. He is due to appear at the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
