Twenty-four-year-old Shahkir Akil Elias-Greaves of Division Drive, Eden Lodge, St Michael, has been remanded to prison in connection with Monday’s stabbing of two women at the Valery, St Michael.
Elias-Greaves appeared in court here this morning on charges of causing serious bodily harm and wounding following the incident in which 48-year-old Cherral Springer and her 23-year-old daughter Jalisa Springer were attacked at their home.
Cherral, who suffered a laceration to the face, was released from hospital the same day of the incident. However, her daughter remains in stable condition at the state-run Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she is being treated for serious injuries.
Elias-Greaves, who appeared in the District A Magistrates’ Court today, was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage, arising from a previous incident on May 5.
