A postman and his alleged accomplice, who are accused of stealing and cashing pension cheques between last December and this month, have been remanded until February 20.
Dwayne Omar Brathwaite, 30, of Eckstein Village, Black Rock, St Michael and Roslyn Alleyne, 36, of Ruby, St Philip appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court this morning.
They were not required to enter a plea for the indictable charges.
Brathwaite has been charged with 17 counts of putting off on a forged instrument, 10 counts of attempting to obtain on a forged instrument; and five count of obtaining money on a forged instrument.
Alleyne is facing 26 counts of uttering a forged instrument, 10 counts of attempting to obtain on a forged instrument, six counts of obtaining money on a forged instrument and one count of going equipped.
