Drug accused remanded

The two men charged in connection with the recent drug find at Skeete’s Bay, St Philip have been remanded.

Guyanese national Gregory Manson-Hing, 31, of Craigg Road, St Lawrence, Christ Church and fifty-four-year old Adrian Obrian Hinds of Durants, Christ Church pleaded not guilty when they appeared at the District “C” Magistrate’s Court today.

They are jointly charged with possession of 53.2 pounds of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of the drug.

They are also facing charges of possession of 31.7 kilograms of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cocaine.

Manson-Hing was slapped with five additional charges following a search at his residence a few days later where small quantities of cannabis and cocaine, along with an apparatus were found.

Both men have been remanded until January 12, 2015.

However, Hing is also to appear at the District “A” Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
