Another Caribbean national is facing the court in Barbados after being caught allegedly trying to smuggle drugs into the island.
Jamaican Sian Thompson has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of two pounds of cannabis.
The 30-year-old arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport from Jamaica on Sunday and was interviewed by police after clearing Immigration.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he passed out 59 packages containing cannabis.
Thompson is expected to appear in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court today.
